Serves 3rd-5th year full-time bachelors and students studying distance learning students; 3rd and 4th year college students; master’s students; doctoral students; University teachers and staff with the library collection on social and humanitarian, natural and technical sciences.
The department ensures the organization, storage, management and use of the library collection.
Distributes newly received publications to the structural divisions of the library and to the methodological offices at the departments, issues literature for book exhibitions, handles literature refusals, writes off documents from the library collection.
Fulfills requests for publications available in the collection in a single copy, issues literature from the book storage collection to the service departments and reading rooms according to the Request Sheets.
The department contains the main collection of library literature in all fields of knowledge:
- educational;
- educational and methodological;
- scientific;
- works of the University, the largest universities, industry institutes and the National Academy of Sciences;
- dissertations;
- local history;
- rare books.
