The department implements and uses modern information technologies, computing and communication equipment in the library, and maintains them.
Ensures the functioning of the automated library and information system Irbis-64 (ALIS Irbis) in the library departments.
Forms the Electronic Library: digitizes literature from the library collection on the planetary scanner ElarSCAN A2-400RA and links the electronic copy of the document to the printed one in the electronic catalog.
Organizes advisory assistance in the implementation of new technologies, promotes information resources and services, organizes the work and maintenance of the library’s website.
Monitors the technical condition of computers and peripheral equipment.
