Series 2 webinars are hosted by Irina Tikhonkova, Ph.D. and Pavel KasyanovAdditional features of the Web of Science platform
Using different functions, types and search operators allows you to find answers to questions: how many papers on a given topic have been published by scientists of a particular organization or country; how many articles in Nature and Science are published by scientists of our organization and how this affects the rating of the university; where to look for grants for your research, how many times a journal was cited that is not included in the Web of Science Core Collection; how many articles have been published on public administration (law, pedagogy of pharmacology, linguistics, etc.) in which publications you can publish your work not in English, in which publications / works you should look through and how to get a list of journals in which you should publish your results. At the webinar, we will learn how to optimize work with Web of Science: save search history; set up notifications about new works and citations. In addition to Core Collection, the Web of Science platform hosts 15 databases. What does a search across all databases give? What additional information can be obtained from Derwent Innovation, MedLine, Zoological Records, Russian Science Citation Index. At the end of the webinar, we will briefly talk about the planned changes in the platform interface.

Correct Organization Profile in Web of Science: Presentation and Assessment of Achievements
How to correctly compare organizations by scientific contribution? How many articles are published in which quartiles? How to quickly create a report on the publication activity of an organization for a specific period? How to evaluate existing partnerships? Who should you cooperate with? How are other organizations making great strides? What practices can you apply at home? When will our university lead the rankings? Why do you need an organization profile in the Web of Science Core Collection (Organization Enhanced). How to create and adjust it? What (not) can be presented in the profile? We will consider these questions at the webinar, as well as the search algorithm for all variations of names, we will work out the use of the SAME operator and how to assess the publication activity of an organization using the Web of Science Core Collection data and using the InCites analytical system.
