Abstracts Scientometrics and bibliometrics have firmly entered our lives, but they continue to evoke diametrically opposite emotions from scientists from admiration and idealization to persistent rejection.At the webinar, we will clarify the goals and objectives of scientometrics, what data are used, from what sources, and the criteria for their quality.How the impact factor and its variations are calculated and why, Journal Citation Indicator, quartile, Hirsch index, CNCI, beamplots.We will determine how to use the data to build a roadmap for the scientific activity of a scientist, institution, country.
