“One country – one book” 2017 event
Book of the year – Sultanmahmut Toraygirov’s works
The writings of distinguished Kazakh poet Sultanmahmut Toraygirov were recognized as the main book for reading in Kazakhstan in 2017. Book exhibition dedicated to Sultanmahmut Toraygirov is placed in library reading hall (room 103, 1st acad. building).
The goal of that event is to popularize Kazakh literature, to raise interest in reading, to develop research interest in studying Kazakhstan literary heritage, to promote intellectual and spiritual development of the rising generation.
At the book exhibition the poet’s writings and materials about his life are presented.
