Topic: Types of Searches in the Web of Science Core Collection
Abstract: Following the introduction of a new search type (Smart Search) in the Web of Science Core Collection, the names of the available search options have changed, while their functionality has remained the same. During the webinar, we will take a detailed look at all types of searches: how and when to use them, how to combine them, and the specifics of their application. We will discuss in detail Smart Search, Fielded Search (field-based search, formerly known as Basic Search), Query Builder Search (formerly Advanced Search), Cited Reference Search (searching cited references), and Author Search. The webinar will be useful both for those who are just starting to work with the platform and for experienced users who want to navigate the new fields and terminology. Answers to questions submitted in the registration forms will also be provided.
