March 1 is the Day of Gratitude in Kazakhstan
On March 1, Kazakhstan celebrates one of the kindest and brightest holidays. It is a celebration of friendship, understanding and harmony, which are so necessary for a peaceful life in a country where more than 130 nations and nationalities live. The date was chosen because the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan was established in Kazakhstan on March 1, 1995. The Gratitude Day holiday was introduced with the aim of preserving and developing the unity of multinational Kazakhstan based on a common history, the memory of joint difficulties experienced through the support of all ethnic groups to each other and to the Kazakh people. Each of the nations is unique, but together in Kazakhstan they are one friendly people.
