Library Development and Technical Support Sector

The sector is responsible for the implementation and use of modern information technologies, computing equipment, and communication tools in the library, as well as their technical maintenance.

It ensures the functioning of the automated library and information system Irbis-64 (ABIS Irbis) in the library’s departments.

The sector develops the Electronic Library: digitizes literature from the library’s collection using the planetary scanner ELAR SCAN A2-400RA, and links the electronic copy of the document to the printed version in the electronic catalog.

It provides consultative assistance in the implementation of new technologies, promotes information resources and services, and manages the library’s website.

It also monitors the technical condition of computers and peripheral equipment.
