Chemical engineering and processes
Chemical engineering is the science and practice related to the design, development and operation of industrial processes and systems for the production and processing of substances and energy. The main goal of chemical engineering is the development and optimization of technological processes in order to efficiently use resources, improve product quality and reduce negative environmental impacts. Chemical engineers are engaged in the following activities: creation of new and improvement of existing technologies; use of secondary resources, energy-saving technologies; waste disposal and emission control systems; ensuring high–quality products at all stages of production; ensuring the safety of production processes and preventing emergencies.
